A legacy of faith, love and service since 1952.
Our church carries a rich legacy, named in honour of the Reverend William Patrick Nkosi, who, alongside his wife Mother Esther Louisa Nkosi, arrived in Tlhabane in 1950. Back then, our congregation was just a handful, and we did not have a physical building to call our own. It was under Rev. Nkosi's steadfast leadership that the foundation of our church was laid.
A remarkable fact is that Rev. Nkosi, who was a skilled bricklayer, took it upon himself to build our church from the ground up. In 1951, he set the cornerstone, using his expertise to lay each brick with care. The fruits of his labour bore fruit in 1952 when the church building was finally completed.
In 1953, the church was solemnly dedicated by Bishop IH Bonner, marking a milestone in our journey of faith and perseverance. As of 2023, our church stands at the impressive age of 71 years, a testament to devotion.
Today, we affectionately call it Nkosi 'COSY' Memorial — a name that encapsulates the warmth and closeness we share as a congregation. In 2022, we reported a membership of 491 individuals at the Annual Conference.
